REFERENCE
BOOK: SECRETS
OF THE TIDE1
is a practical introduction
to tides and tidal currents that explains in everyday language the theory of
tides and the harmonic method, long used as the standard for tidal
analysis and prediction of astronomical tides throughout the world. In
addition to tides, it explains other forms of sea level change that are
hallmarks of a world experiencing global climate change - storm surge and sea
level rise. It is an essential reference for professionals as well as lay
persons who live or work in coastal regions along tidal waterways.
